Poached Shift Policies - for Employers
Here's a quick guide to some important Poached Shift policies:
Cancellation Policy
Need to cancel a booked Shift? Please let us know at least 12 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations received less than 12 hours before the start time may be subject to a minimum charge of four hours per professional at the stated Shift wage, plus the $45 Poached Shift Fee.
You won't be charged for cancellations due to inclement weather, equipment failure, or other situations that require your establishment to close for the duration of the scheduled Shift.
For Shifts posted within 12 hours of the start time, you have a 30-minute grace period to decline a booked worker if the experience listed in their bio and work history doesn't match your posted Shift requirements.
If you feel a booked worker isn't the right fit, please decline their booking and contact Poached Support to share your concerns. Poached Support handles all cancellation charges, and you'll never be automatically charged for declining a worker you're not satisfied with.
Shift Post Accuracy
Help workers arrive prepared by filling out all Shift details and including every duty they'll be expected to perform. Leaving out expected duties may result in losing access to Poached Shifts. Please keep personal information out of the main body of your Shift listing.
Verbal Agreements and Unbooked Shifts
Workers must be booked for a posted Poached Shift to receive payment through our platform. A verbal agreement alone doesn't count as a booking.
Poached is not liable for accidents involving an unbooked worker, another person, or the business. If a worker who hasn't been accepted for a Shift is injured, liability falls on your business, not Poached.
If someone arrives to work but isn't booked, please send them home or create a Shift for them. Learn how to create a Shift here.
Reported Behavior
Please help keep Poached Shifts respectful and welcoming for everyone. Any reports of lewd, discriminatory, racist, sexist, or hostile behavior will result in an immediate, permanent suspension from Poached Shifts.
