What are “Certifications”?

When working Poached Shifts, it is essential for food service professionals to possess current food and beverage handler cards or certifications as mandated by state and county regulations.

Obtaining the appropriate certifications is a requirement for onboarding with Poached Shifts. Failure to possess these certifications will result in being unable to join the platform. While it is not mandatory to have a physical copy of your certifications during your shift, it is highly recommended. To understand the importance of having a food handler's card on hand, check out our informative blog article.

Here are the certifications required based on the type of shift:

- Front of House: If you are interested in front-of-house positions such as servers, bartenders, and bussers, you must obtain and upload a Liquor License and Food Handler License according to your state and county requirements.

- Back of House: If you are interested in back-of-house positions such as prep cook, line cook, and dishwasher, you must obtain and upload a Food Handler License or Certification based on your state and county requirements.
